The Western Governors’ Drought Forum of Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, launched in 2014, fostered a regional dialogue in which states shared best practices on drought policy, preparedness and management. WGA hosted workshops and webinars and developed an online drought resource library that included case studies and drought tools.

Governor Mary Fallin hosted the first workshop of the Western Governors' Drought Forum on Sept. 18-19, 2014 at the National Weather Center in Norman, Okla. "Managing Drought in the Energy Sector,” examined the challenges facing the energy sector in a period of drought.
